buy provigil malaysia If you haven’t already heard of Gurls Talk then now would be a great time to check it out. It’s a new movement helping young women open up about their experiences – providing a trusting and safe space online for speaking about issues like sexuality, body image and mental health. Founded by award-winning model and activist Adwoa Aboah, Gurls Talk started life back in 2015 as an instagram feed (@gurlstalk)… but the past couple of years have seen this inspirational idea grow into something much bigger. And we’re so excited to see how this amazing movement is empowering more women and girls by the day.
There’s a top line-up of talks, workshops and pop-ups planned. You’ll get the chance to meet Adwoa herself and hear from the likes of Hari Nef, Karly Scortino, Hanne Gaby Odielle and Laurie Penny among others. There’s also going to be ‘Dream Station’ – a complimentary Coach customisation booth… and StyleLikeU, the body positivity platform, will be filming during the day. But don’t just take our word for it. Get yourself onto the Dazed website for full details. If you want to attend, all you need to do is send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and turn up on the day at 180 Strand, WC2R 1EA… it’ll be on from 12pm-6pm.
According to Adwoa, Gurls Talk is only just getting started… there are big plans for the future. Here’s what she told W Magazine in an interview last year:
The long-term plan is that I want it to be part of schools, to be part of the curriculum—an hour or half an hour out of one day where these girls have someone come in and workshop and mentor [them] on self body image; and to also bring in women from other walks of life.
Make sure you follow @gurlstalk to see what happens next.
Gurls Talk x Coach Festival is happening at 180 Strand, WC2R 1EA from 12-6pm on Saturday, July 1st
